STUDENTS’ COUNCIL
 

 

Students’ Council (SC) is the body to defend the common interests of students and postgraduates, according to Article 72, Al. 1 of Higher Education Act (HEA). SC takes its decisions following the HEA and the Regulations of Trakia University, about all the structural and managing questions.

  

SC aims its activity in helping education and qualification of the students in Trakia University. Application and realization of many programs and projects, increasing the academic society and image of the university, is also another priority of SC.

  

·         SC takes part in the discussion of social and everyday problems of the students.

 

·         SC defends all the social acquirements of the students in front of the special bodies, with the only aim of guarantee the normal life and education. If the common interest of the students has been affected, SC has the right to use all the law-regulated resources to restore the normal life and education of the students and postgraduates. 

 

Every student and postgraduate in Trakia University has the right to choose and to be chosen in the structures of SC and its organ of management

 

 

        In structuring SC are not allowed any previligies and restrictions associated with age, sex, race, nationality, social origin, political views and religion, except the cases, indicated in the Regulations of the University.
        The members of SC are independent of ideologies, religions and political doctrines. This is accomplished according all human values and national traditions.
        SC includes of the representatives of the students and postgraduates in General Meeting of Trakia University.
        The quota of each faculty is proposed by the Rector and accepted by the Academic Council.
       SC at Trakia University is member of NASC (National Assembly of Students’ Councils), member of Regional Social Consultative Council – Stara Zagora, member of CYC (Consultative Youth Council) – Stara Zagora and others.

1.   Works for  resolving of problems occurred and associated with Students’ Hostels and Refectories.
2.  Work on projects for innovations and modernizations in the frame of the Students’ Hostels and Refectories.

1.   Takes part in investigation system for evaluationandkeepingthe quality of the education and the academic staff of the university.
2.   Makes suggestionsfor invitation of other university teachers in the country and abroad.
3.  Organizes andheldsmany qualificatory coursesandforums.

4.   Organizingtournaments– Football, Basketball,Volleyball, Table tennis, Chess, swimmingandothers and others.

                  2.   Heldscastings and competitionsforfindingoftalented students.

                  3.   Helds a lot of charity campaigns.

                  4.   Organizesthe traditionalcontestMiss &MisterTrakia University.

                  5.   Helps the Ensemble “TRAKI” andthe group of latino-dances..

       COMMISSION OF INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY:

 

This commission has been founded in 2009.

It partnerswiththe international sector of the university and makes all the international contacts.

Helpsforstudents’exchanges, internshipsabroadand ”Erasmus” program travellings.
